Noo Bap – クラウド移動

Up and coming Montreal-producer, Noo Bap, is one of many interesting artists coming out of Canada these years. Apart from where he’s from, however, he doesn’t give out much information about himself. Instead he prefers to let the music do the talking. Which is cool seeing as some of it is pretty solid. Such is the case with this mellow, clubby track which has a funky synth bass line, some nice rhodes and chopped vocals making a good pick for djs looking to build momentum early in the evening. Laura Mvula – Green Garden (Salah Ananse remix)

The talented British soul singer and songwriter, Laura Mvula, released her debut album, “Sing to the Moon”, in March of this year. The album was preceded by the single “Green Garden”, an excellent piece of gospel-influenced pop soul. The song has already been remixed a bunch of times, but this recent one by veteran Atlanta DJ and producer, Salah Ananse, is definitely my favorite. Ananse has made waves with his remix work in the past, remixing India Arie’s “Brown Skin” and Jill Scott’s “Cross My Mind” among other things. This time he manages to spice up an already dope song by adding an elegant  electronic touch and extending it to seven minutes of dance floor goodness.

He’s offering this one as a free download in exchange for your email address, so be sure to swing by his Soundcloud and grab it.

William Devaughn – Be Thankful for What You Got (FKJ Remix)

As you may have noticed, we have quite a fondness for French Kiwi Juice here at Soul Digital. And once again, he’s back with another amazing track. This time he has remixed the classic William Devaughn song “Be Thankful for What You Got”  from 1974. FKJ nicely adds his trademark boogie to the smooth soul tune, turning it into discofied, dance floor thumper. And best of all: it’s free. So be sure to grab the download here
